Terms of Service

Welcome to Bixi. These Terms are an agreement between you and Bixi ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Bixi.

The service

Bixi is a mobile app where two people ("co-parents") raise a shared virtual pet together — caring for it daily, keeping a streak, and leaving each other short notes. Features may change over time.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email and verify it with the code we send.
• You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password private.
• An account belongs to one person and can be paired with one co-parent at a time.
• You must be old enough to use the app in your country (at least 13).

Shared content & your co-parent

When you pair with a co-parent, you share your pet's progress and can send each other notes. Anything you write in a note is visible to your co-parent. Joining or leaving a pair changes what's shared — leaving means you stop co-parenting that pet.

Acceptable use & content

You are responsible for the content you create (such as notes). You agree not to use Bixi to post or send content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable, and not to misuse or attempt to break the service.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You can stop receiving another person's content at any time by leaving the pair. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and where appropriate act on reports within 24 hours.

Termination

You can stop using Bixi and delete your account and data at any time in You → Privacy & data → Delete account & data. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Bixi is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or that data will never be lost. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded Bixi from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them.
